our girls
Given that a happy Golden is one that is constantly stimulated and “has a job”, our girls participate to the furthest extent possible in “Dog Sport” trialing. We participate in Barn Hunt, North America Sport Dog Association (NASDA) Trailing and Locating, Urban Locating, Shed Dog and Lost Item Recovery, AKC Scent Work and National Association of Canine Nosework (NACSW). The girls and I very much enjoy learning new and honing learned skills, and spending time with people that love to have fun with their dogs.

(2013 - 2024) is an Alliance for Therapy Dogs (ATD) certified Therapy Dog. We share comfort and love in many venues including Renown Hospital, READing Paws school programs, and many venues through the Reno Chapter of Paws 4 Love. Lily has had three litters of pups, in 2016 and in 2017 by the same Sire who is also a Therapy Dog, and her last litter in 2018. From her 2016 litter I kept a female Sierra Aurum Sundance “Aura”, and I kept a female from her 2017 litter Sundance’s Gilded Grace “Grace”.

Lily is also a wonderful companion and competitor in Barn Hunt as well as NACSW K9 Nose Work (NW3) and AKC Scent Work - Master (the sport equivalent to bomb/drug detection dogs). Lily made her return to Barn Hunt in March 2022 Qualifying in 2 Senior runs and attaining a High in Class! Lily participated several years ago in Barn Hunt and appeared to lose interest, however her spunk is back to search for RATS!!!!

Aura is now 7 years old (April 2016). She is also just wonderful as a friend and companion. Aura lovesK9 Nose Work and AKC Scent Work. She has her Mom’s demeanor and is also certified as a Therapy Dog with ATD. Aura had her first litter in November 2018 and her second litter in December 2019. Her final litter arrived in January 2022.
Aura is competing at the AKC Scent Work Excellent Level and NACSW NW3 Level.

(July 2017). also has her Mom and sister’s demeanor and lives to be loved on. She is super enthusiastic about Rat Sports - LOVES Barn Hunt (Master) and NASDA Trailing and Locating Level (TL), Urban Locating (UL), Shed Dog (SD), Lost Item Recovery (LI) and Trailing Brace. She is also a registered Therapy Dog. For Grace, life is all about having fun that includes learning strong obedience skills/good manners and motivation to search for rats and odor. Grace had her first litter of 11 in November 2019 and er lst litter of 11 in April 2021.
Grace had a huge trialing week in March 2022. She participated in 6 Barn Hunt trials over 3 days attaining her first two legs in Master. Barn Hunt trials were followed by the North American Sport Dog Association Best of Breed (BOB) Showcase where she attained 6 1st Place, 1 2nd Place and 3 4th Place, winning the BOB Trailing & Loacting and Shed Dog II qualifying her for the NASDA Invitational competing aagainst the best in the nation in UL, T&L, SD and LI.

Glimmer
Sundance's Glimmer of Sierra Aurum
4.5 year old Glimmer participated in her first Barn Hunt Trials in March 2022! She did a fabulous job qualifying in Instinct attaining her RATI Title, Qualifying with 3 legs in Novice to attain her RATN Title, and Qualifying for one leg in Open! It was super fun to watch her have a blast!
Glimmer will be tested in 2023 to become a certified Therapy Dog and is leaning K9 NoseWork!
Glimmer delivered her first litter of 9 pups in August 2022, her second litter of 7 in 2023 and is expecting her third litter November 2024!!!
